B-Laundry Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of B-Laundry, operated by Phearl LLC("B-Laundry," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

B-Laundry coordinates customer orders, payments, pickup, and return logistics. Cleaning services are performed by our independent service partner, Fold Laundry, under a separate commercial services agreement.

1. Service Model

  • B-Laundry is the customer-facing logistics and coordination platform.
  • Fold Laundry performs wash-and-fold and dry-cleaning fulfillment.
  • Nothing in these Terms implies endorsement by, sponsorship from, or affiliation with UCLA or the University of California system.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and place orders.
  • You represent that information submitted to us is accurate and current.

3. Orders, Scheduling, and Operations

  • You are responsible for providing accurate pickup/dropoff location and timing details.
  • Operational windows and turnaround estimates are shown in the app and may change based on capacity, volume, weather, or other operational constraints.
  • We may require confirmation of scheduled windows before order completion.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Wash & Fold is billed by weight (per pound).
  • Dry cleaning is billed per item.
  • Retail pricing, promotions, and fees are displayed at checkout or in your account before charge.
  • You authorize B-Laundry and its payment processors to collect applicable charges, taxes, and fees.

5. Claims and Garment Issues

  • B-Laundry is your customer-facing claims channel for order issues.
  • Please report service quality or garment issues as soon as possible, and no later than two (2) business days after delivery.
  • Where applicable, deficient service may be re-performed once at no additional charge if reported promptly.
  • Compensation for confirmed loss or irreparable damage caused by the cleaning process is limited to five times (5x) the cleaning charge for the affected garment, to the extent permitted by law.
  • We are not liable for damage resulting from: normal wear and tear; pre-existing conditions; failure to follow care label instructions; or specialty items (leather, suede, beading, embroidery, etc.) not disclosed at time of order.
  • Do not include items of exceptional monetary or sentimental value without prior written agreement on declared value.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Remove valuables, cash, electronics, and sensitive documents before pickup.
  • Empty pockets and check garments before handoff.
  • Do not submit prohibited, hazardous, or unlawful items.

7. Independent Contractors and No Partnership

B-Laundry and Fold Laundry operate as independent contractors. These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and any service provider.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, utility outages, transport disruptions, or other force majeure events.

10. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

  • California law governs these Terms.
  • Disputes are subject to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, administered by the AAA, except where small claims court jurisdiction applies.
  • You and B-Laundry waive the right to a jury trial.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms. The updated version becomes effective when posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
